I'm still mourning over the murder of The Mad Hatter...
The film looks stunning, or what I've seen of it from the stills. I love Burton as a director and I think he has done some truly incredible work.
Two points I'd like to make
- I was disappointed with his remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - the only bits that were any good (once inside the factory) were totally Depp's performance. So am I going to be disappointed with this?
- Is his Mad Hatter too Burtonesque? And is it a problem if it is?
- And thirdly, because I can't count, I just loved Martin Short's version of the Mad Hatter in the TV miniseries of Alice, and will this put me off Depp's performance?
I am sensing Oscars for this baby though, if not in acting, then certainly in looks!
Love the poster for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs...can't wait to see the film version of this funny and silly children's book...should be pretty good.
