To be honest my interest has died down a lot from this new trailer; the teaser was much more exciting and intriguing. I think every comment I've made thus far on this website has been negative which annoys me it's just been a disappointing string of trailers I've loved most of the ones from this year (Wild Things (x100 My obession, Bad Lieutenant had a great one, Up in the Air, A Serious Man to name just a few)
I guess that why we put them up. We don't know how readers will react, but it's our duty to post trailers that might make some noise come Oscar time. But, I agree, this trailer is pretty lame. The movie might be OK, but the trailer isn't doing it any justice.
I guess I'm in the minority here, but this, along with what I saw at Avatar Day, has me sufficiently excited to see the visual spectacle it'll certainly be...as for story, it's Ferngully meets Dances with Wolves
I agree Joey, this trailer looks incredible. I'm majorly pumped just to have James Cameron finally back in the game, as his films are just too great not to see, with Aliens, Terminator, and Terminator 2 all being incredible. I like your Ferngully meets Dances with Wolves comparison. Very clever. :P
I'm much more excited after viewing this trailer. Although the quality isn't great, I still think it will be epic. The 3D will definitely help a lot though.
I tried to watch this trailer but the link didn't work so I popped on over to YouTube and found the "second" trailer running at 3:40. This trailer blew me away! I had been looking forward to seeing Avatar until I saw the first trailer, but now my faith is restored. This trailer is fantastic! I loved the use of Steve Jablonsky's "My Name Is Lincoln" from The Island, which was also used in the Elizabeth: The Golden Age trailer to much effect. So, I'm not sure if the trailer linked here is the one I've seen, but needless to say, with dialogue and more of the plot exposed in the new trailer, and glimpses of some of the other cast including the brilliant Sigourney Weaver and Giovanni Ribisi, I am lining up!

I have to admit...I too have a lukewarm feeling about this movie due to its trailers. Shame.
Although the people who saw the 3d preview said that 3d is the only way to fully appreciate this movie.
I guess we will see!
You certainly can't judge a movie on the trailer alone.
